A family-run brewery operating without filtering or pasteurizing
L’Anjub, craft beer from Vinebre without additives or preservatives
L’Anjub Cervesa Artesana has been brewing beer in Vinebre (Ribera d’Ebre) since 2010. This family project is committed to a traditional process: 100% natural beers, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bottle-conditioned (second fermentation in the bottle). The name refers to the anjub (aljibe), a rural cistern used to collect rainwater, deeply connecting the brand with the agricultural heritage of Terres de l’Ebre.
A range built on authenticity
L’Anjub produces a diverse range that covers very different styles.
The 1907, a 5% English Pale Ale, is their most iconic flagship: featuring fruity notes of apple and apricot with a well-balanced bitterness. The Lug, a 3.5% Ordinary Bitter, is light and designed for everyday enjoyment. The Juliett, a 6% Extra Stout, offers aromas of coffee and cocoa with high drinkability. The Blat Raner, a 4% wheat beer, is their freshest, most seasonal offering. The core selection has occasionally expanded through international collaborations, such as Cucafera (7.9%) or Aloja (6.7%), brewed alongside the American brewery Stillwater.
Territory, identity, and craft process
The brand is part of the agri-food producers’ ecosystem of Terres de l’Ebre and is featured in the Gastroteca de Catalunya.
L’Anjub’s visual identity combines a craft aesthetic with Mediterranean references, featuring unique labels for each beer. For special editions, they have opted for more contemporary designs, such as Bella Ciao, which features a visual identity inspired by 1970s Italian posters. The brand’s narrative is built on three pillars: deep roots in the territory, process authenticity, and limited production.
